Started from personal frustration. Released because I wasn't the only one.
I couldn't find a finance app that worked for how I actually use money.
I needed a fast way to log expenses on my phone. Not an app with slow loading and confusing navigation. But I also needed to audit my finances on a laptop, check trends, review investments. Two different needs, and no single app handled both well.
Three specific things made me build Wealio myself:
Transfers that wrecked my reports.
In other apps, transferring from BCA to GoPay shows up as both an expense and income. Monthly reports look bloated. Wealio records transfers as transfers, so reports stay clean.
Credit cards with no pending system.
When you swipe your card, the money hasn't left yet. Wealio tracks CC transactions as PENDING first, then settled when you pay the bill. Reports become far more accurate.
Mobile-first in name only.
Not just 'there's a mobile version'. Wealio is built to log from your phone in three taps, then audit on desktop with a proper layout.
Wealio is young. But every feature exists because it was genuinely needed, not because a competitor has it. If you have feedback or ideas, I read everything.
